Library Recommendation Form

Dear Librarian:

This is to recommend that our library subscribe to POLITICS AND THE LIFE SCIENCES, the international journal of the ASSOCIATION FOR POLITICS AND THE LIFE SCIENCES. PLS is a refereed, semi-annual journal that has been published since 1982. It is currently covered by eighteen indices.*
PLS publishes articles, commentaries, conference and teaching reports, book reviews, and other contributions concerning both politics or public policy and any of the life sciences. Recent contributions have dealt with such subjects as biological terrorism, physician-assisted suicide, regulating biotechnology, biological arms control, the evolutionary roots of political rhetoric, feminism and the evolutionary sciences, the Human Genome Project, adolescent sexuality and public policy, neuroscience and political intolerance, genetics and crime, pregnancy and substance abuse, assisted reproduction, regulating germ-line gene therapy, and global environmental challenges.
As an interdisciplinary journal, PLS is relevant for teaching and research in a variety of fields, including political science, law, medicine, biology, nursing, public health, psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, and others.
An institutional subscription to POLITICS AND THE LIFE SCIENCES (ISSN 0730-9384) is US$97 per year (or for the developing world and Eastern Europe US$80). I believe it would be a valuable addition to our collection. We may order PLS through our subscription agent or by contacting:
